7-Day Retreat Experience

Spend seven unforgettable days training, relaxing, exploring, and connecting in Portugal’s stunning Algarve region.

TRAIN: Enjoy 5 days of aerial workshops in a large open-air training facility at House of Honey Retreat Center.

Workshop topics include:

Aerial Choreography: By the end of the retreat, participants should walk away having learned a fully choreographed act.
Musicality & Artistry: Explore where dance meets aerial through our intentional movement workshop.
Windmills & Star Drops
Beats & Roll Ups
Sneaky Pathways & Sequencing: Learn some of Kelsey’s favorite sneak pathways to common wraps like Crossback, Catcher’s wrap, etc.
Conditioning & Stretching

Aerialists will train approximately 3 hours daily, plus 1 hour of open studio time each day.

We are looking for intermediate level aerialists who have a passion for training!
Aerialists should have the ability to…
- Single & double foot locks in the air

- Stamina for several hours of training per day
Our Artistry in Flight Retreat is adults only. Aerialists must be 18+.

House of Honey is in the heart of the Algarve. Minutes from Old Town Lagos, the magnificent coast line, and stunning beaches! The address to House of Honey Retreat Center is: Quinta de Verao, 8600-310 Lagos, Portugal.
The studio is located 1km from Lagos. You have international flights into Lisbon and Faro. Depending on your departure city, they are more or less expensive. Generally, within Europe, flights to Faro are cheaper and from the United States Lisbon is cheaper. However, in 2024, there will be a direct flight from NYC to Faro so this will be a great option if you’re coming from that side of the pond.
From Faro: you can either take a shuttle, a bus or a private taxi/uber to the studio. Generally the price is about 85 euros for private taxi and shuttles are around 12 euros. It’s a 45 minute drive. We can help you arrange group transport if you’re arriving at or around the same time.
From Lisbon: Bus is the best option. It’s about 15 euros and takes 3.5-4 hours to get to the Lagos bus station. From there it’s a 5 minute/5 euro uber to the studio. There are also trains but they take longer and you need to change trains at a station not far from Lagos. We can arrange group pick-ups and help you with transport if you’re arriving around the same time. There are private taxi options for up to 8 people at a time for around 300 euros.
Yes! Our training will be over around 1PM each day. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore and/or relax! You can choose to stay at the retreat center or head to downtown Lagos to explore Old Town, hike along the coastline, or relax on the beaches.
