Join Kelsey Hartland in the Portugal’s stunning Algarve region for a seven day aerial silks retreat. With a focus on musicality, you will take your aerial artistry to the next level by exploring creative pathways on silks, sequencing, technique tips, and what it means to dance in the air. Your lovely accommodations are minutes from the jaw-dropping cliffs, sandy coves, and unique town of Lagos, Portugal. You will leave Portugal with tools to continue your artistry work at home, sneaky sequences, beautiful poses, & exciting drops!
For safety, we require all aerialists to be ages 18+. Aerialists should have the ability to put on footlocks from a climb, invert & hip key in the air, & have the stamina for several hours of training each day.

TRAIN: 5 Days of Aerial Workshops
Creative Transitions, Aerial Choreography, Musicality & Artistry, Windmills & Star Drops, Conditioning & Stretching
Approx. 3-4 Hours Daily
1 hour of daily open studio time
RELAX: Daily access to the salt jacuzzi until 4PM
NOURISH: 3 catered meals each day + snacks

The retreat center is a short 5 minute drive from downtown Lagos & it’s famous coastline. With a little aerial magic & a country full of wonder, it’s bound to be an unforgettable adventure!

Aerial Silks Coach
Kelsey is a passionate aerial instructor and performer located in Delavan, WI. As the founder of the Lofty Life Aerial Dance, LLC., she has over 7 years of coaching experience and 10 years of performing experience.
Kelsey has been certified as an instructor through both the Circus Arts Institute and Aerial Physique. What sets her apart is her passion for turning aerial tricks into aerial dance. She is endlessly inspired by the intersection of aerial arts and dance.
With a love of travel, passion for aerial, & desire for adventure she cannot wait to spend the week with you in Lagos, Portugal!

How to Get THere.
The studio is located 1km from Lagos. You have international flights into Lisbon and Faro. Depending on your departure city, they are more or less expensive. Generally, within Europe, flights to Faro are cheaper and from the United States Lisbon is cheaper. However, in 2024, there will be a direct flight from NYC to Faro so this will be a great option if you’re coming from that side of the pond.
From Faro: you can either take a shuttle, a bus or a private taxi/uber to the studio. Generally the price is about 85 euros for private taxi and shuttles are around 12 euros. It’s a 45 minute drive. We can help you arrange group transport if you’re arriving at or around the same time.
From Lisbon: Bus is the best option. It’s about 15 euros and takes 3.5-4 hours to get to the Lagos bus station. From there it’s a 5 minute/5 euro uber to the studio. There are also trains but they take longer and you need to change trains at a station not far from Lagos. We can arrange group pick-ups and help you with transport if you’re arriving around the same time. There are private taxi options for up to 8 people at a time for around 300 euros.
